Behaviour
Research suggests that with primary school aged children, reaffirming positive behaviour choices promotes more positive behaviour. At Moorland last year, we logged over 86,000 behaviours and 93% of those were positive, “green” behaviours!
We emphasise the importance of behaving in a respectful and appropriate way at all times and celebrate and praise these choices. When appropriate, sanctions are put in place. Our behaviour system, Trackit lights, has three tiers of escalation to allow pupils the opportunity to amend their behaviour before sanctions are issued.
Behaviours are logged in real time in every classroom and by all members of staff. With our Trackit light parent app, parents and carers can keep up to date with their child's behaviour choices too.
