Parents and Carers

Working in Partnership

At Moorland Primary School and Nursery, we want our pupils to enjoy their learning in a caring, well-structured, safe and happy environment.  Children are well cared for, nurtured and engaged throughout their education at our school.

We know how important it is to keep you informed about what your child is doing at school.  Our newsletter is emailed to all parents and carers weekly, and we are always happy to speak to you if you have any questions about our day to day activities.

Our school day starts at 8.30am (8.45am registration) and finishes at 3.00pm.  There is a breakfast club and some after school activities, which parents can apply for a place for their child through our ParentPay app (subject to availability).

Parents are essential to the success of any school, and we are proud of the support we receive from our school community.  Parental engagement and participation make a real difference to a child's education. At Moorland, we value honest feedback from parents to support our journey of improvement. Please see our "Parents survey results" below and the subsequent "What you said, what we did" which highlights how working in partnership drives improvements.

Our Home-School Agreement governs the mutual expectations between the school and the parents.  Our Well-being team run a Wellbeing Wednesday coffee morning for parents and carers to come along.  This is a fabulous opportunity for parents to meet with other parents and our team to share ideas, worries or concerns.

We know how important good communication is with parents.  If you have any questions about any communication you receive from the School, please let us know and we will be happy to help.
