Our school day starts at 8.30am 

We welcome the children and families into school at 8.30 when the playground gates open.  We allow a flexible start for our families and keep the gate open until 8.45am when it is promptly closed. Please make sure you arrive in good time every day as this helps your child have a settled and positive start to the day. 

We encourage all children to arrive at 8.30am so that their learning is fully maximised through morning tasks, booster sessions and 1:1 learning time. This gives them an additional hour and 15 mins each week and makes such a positive difference to their outcomes. 

Registration is taken at 8.45am and our assemblies start promptly at 8.50am. These are an important part of the school day and children's learning. 

If you arrive at school after 8.45am, you will need to bring your child to the front entrance and sign them in as late.  This will negatively affect their attendance %, well-being and learning. It is extremely important that you help your child to become an "Attendance Hero" and arrive on time every day.

Our school day finishes at 3pm

School finishes at 3pm for all year groups. We will open the gates at 2.55pm and parents/carers collect pupils directly from the classroom doors.  Pupils in years 5 and 6 are allowed to walk to and from school on their own if we have written consent from their parents/carers. 

Children are in school for 6.5 hours per day. In total, the children are in school for 32.5 hours per week, as per the government requirement for primary schools.
