Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in our Nursery. Let’s explore what we can offer your child at Moorland Primary School & Nursery. Our Nursery provides the first step for your child to discover a lifelong love of learning. We believe that every child is unique, and our staff are highly qualified and experienced in early years learning and special educational needs to bring out the best in your child.
Your child will develop their confidence and feel safe in a caring and nurturing environment. Our nursery room is a large, bright and spacious area which means each child has the opportunity to explore and play with other children in a safe environment.
We can use the indoor area flexibly to encourage children to work together but also to explore their own creative ideas.
Our covered outdoor area means children can explore and play outside throughout the year, whatever the weather, and we place a strong emphasis on outdoor learning. Our dedicated forest area invites children to engage with nature, explore their surroundings, and develop a deep love of their environment. Through imaginative play and hands-on experiences, children thrive as confident explorers, discovering the world around them.
The curriculum at Moorland Primary School Nursery is exciting, varied, and creative, delivered with a clear focus on nurturing curious learners. We recognise that every child has a unique starting point. We expertly design an exciting programme of activities that will foster confident, inquisitive learners, and we work with you as parents and carers to ensure your child’s development is supported at every stage. Our collaboration begins with a carefully planned introduction to nursery life, including home visits and stepping up sessions prior to starting, and this continues throughout their journey with us.
As an integral part of Moorland Primary School, there is a seamless transition of our nursery children into Reception class. The Early Years unit, comprising both Nursery and Reception, is led by an experienced and dedicated Lead of Early Years, who brings many years of teaching expertise to our nurturing environment. We take immense pride in offering high-quality educational nursery provision, placing our children at the heart of everything we do.
